Saharsa, Bihar: A daylight robbery incident has created panic in the Sadar police station area of Saharsa. The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon when three bike-borne criminals allegedly stopped a man and looted ₹16,000 from him at knife point.
According to the information, Md. Saufat, a resident of Dighiya, was travelling on his bike to deposit an installment at a TVS showroom. During this time, when he reached near Sagar Tally Academy in Refugee Colony under TOP-2 area, three youths riding on a single bike stopped him.
The victim alleged that the criminals took out a knife, threatened him, and forcibly snatched the cash amount of ₹16,000 before escaping from the spot.
The incident reportedly occurred around 1:15 PM. After the robbery, Md. Saufat immediately reached Sadar Police Station and informed the police about the incident.
Following the information, police officials reached the spot and started an investigation. The police are examining CCTV footage from nearby areas to identify the accused and make arrests.
The incident has raised concerns among local residents regarding the increasing cases of crime in the area. Further investigation is underway.
