Saharsa, Bihar: A tragic incident has shaken the Sitanganabad area of Simri Bakhtiyarpur in Saharsa district, where an 18-year-old girl lost her life after being struck by lightning.
The incident took place at Amarula Tola, Ward No. 5, where Jyoti Kumari, daughter of a farmer, had gone to collect grass along with other girls. According to the family, sudden lightning struck during bad weather, leaving Jyoti dead and three others injured.
The injured include Lakshmi Kumari, daughter of Birendra Das, who is reported to be in serious condition. Two other injured girls are relatives of Jyoti and are said to be her uncle’s daughters.
Jyoti’s family said that her marriage had already been fixed and preparations were underway. The family was waiting for a happy occasion, but the sudden lightning strike turned their celebrations into deep sorrow.
Jyoti Kumari, a resident of Amarula Tola, Sitanganabad, Simri Bakhtiyarpur, Saharsa, was only 18 years old.
After the incident, mourning spread across the village. The family is devastated by the loss, while local people expressed grief over the tragic accident. Authorities are gathering information about the incident and arrangements are being made for the treatment of the injured.
