Youth Attacked With Sticks During Muharram Fair in Simri Bakhtiyarpur, Chaos Breaks Out

A case of assault during a Muharram fair created panic for a while at the Estate premises in Simri Bakhtiyarpur on Saturday. A young man identified as Mohammad Naushad, a resident of Chakla Ward No. 18, was seriously injured in the attack and was admitted to the Sub-Divisional Hospital for treatment.

According to eyewitnesses, an argument broke out between two groups while purchasing goods at a shop during the fair. The dispute soon turned violent, and it is alleged that around 8 to 10 youths surrounded Mohammad Naushad and attacked him with sticks.

People present at the spot intervened and helped take the injured youth to the hospital. A video of the incident has also gone viral on social media, showing several youths assaulting a person while some people can be seen trying to stop the fight.

So far, no official statement has been issued by the police regarding the incident, and confirmation of an FIR has also not been received. The complete details of the incident are expected to become clear after the police investigation.
