Mahishi Youth Set an Example by Establishing a Modern Library

Mahishi, Saharsa: In a remarkable community-driven initiative, the youth of Mahishi, with the support of local villagers, have established a modern library to promote education and knowledge. The library was inaugurated by Simri Bakhtiyarpur MLA Sanjay Singh, who praised the efforts of the young volunteers and assured support for further development.

Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said Mahishi, the land of Goddess Ugratara, Mandan Mishra, and Vidushi Bharati, has always been a center of knowledge. He expressed hope that the library would soon be upgraded with more facilities and become a fully equipped knowledge center for students.

Social worker and Zila Parishad candidate Anshu Jha said the initiative was inspired by Mahishi's rich intellectual heritage. He added that the youth came together to create a space where students can learn, prepare for competitive exams, and preserve the village's tradition of education.

Library coordinator Makardhwaj Mishra said the new facility offers modern amenities, including Wi-Fi, air-conditioned reading rooms, and plans for a digital smart board. He described the library as a community effort that will provide students and researchers with a comfortable and technology-enabled learning environment.

The initiative has been widely appreciated by residents and is being seen as a model for how community participation can strengthen education and inspire future generations.
