Saharsa, Bihar: A major action has been taken against an alleged solver gang during the ongoing Bihar Police recruitment examination. Based on confidential information, the DIU team along with police officials conducted a raid and brought three suspects to Sadar Police Station for questioning.
The action was carried out under the supervision of DSP Kamleshwar Prasad Singh. During the investigation, police reportedly recovered several suspicious items including blank cheques, bank passbooks, mobile phones, certificates and other documents.
One of the detained suspects has been identified as Chandan Kumar, son of Laxmi Prasad Yadav, resident of Banma Itahari. He was reportedly working as a teacher at Polytechnic Cavendish Residential School. A blank cheque was recovered during the investigation.
Another suspect, also named Chandan Kumar, son of Upendra Yadav, resident of Simraha, has also been brought under investigation.
The third suspect has been identified as Vivek Yadav, son of Devendra Yadav, resident of Bariyahi Basti Ward No. 9. His father had retired as a government compounder from Chhatapur around 10 years ago.
Police sources said that several important documents were recovered, including certificates linked to Magadh University, Bodh Gaya, along with documents and cheques related to a person named Sanjeev Kumar, son of Shyam Singh. A signature was also found on the cheque during the investigation.
According to preliminary investigation, the gang allegedly charged around Rs 8 lakh from a single student for exam-related arrangements. Police suspect that the network is connected to Bhagalpur and has links spread across several districts.
Search operations and raids are reportedly being conducted in places including Patna, Khagaria, Kishanganj and Madhepura to trace other members of the suspected network.
Police are continuing the interrogation of the suspects and further action is expected after the completion of the investigation.
