Saharsa Crime: Man Beaten to Death Inside His House in Salakhua, Son Reveals Shocking Details

Saharsa, Bihar: A shocking murder case has come to light from Salakhua police station area of Saharsa district, where a man was allegedly beaten to death by a group of people after they entered his house late at night. The family has accused 10 to 15 people of carrying out the attack, claiming that the incident was linked to a land dispute.

The deceased has been identified as Shatrughan Yadav, son of late Jagdish Yadav, a resident of Utesara village under Salakhua police station.

According to the family, Shatrughan Yadav was sleeping at his house on Tuesday night when a group of armed people allegedly entered the house and attacked him with sticks. The attack left him seriously injured and unconscious.


Speaking about the incident, Shatrughan Yadav’s son said that the attackers suddenly entered the house and started beating his father. He alleged that the family members tried to save him but were unable to stop the attackers due to their large number.

After the attack, local residents rushed the injured man to Salakhua Primary Health Centre. Considering his critical condition, doctors referred him to Saharsa Sadar Hospital for better treatment, where he died during treatment.

After receiving information about the incident, police reached the hospital, took custody of the body, and sent it for post-mortem examination.

The victim’s family has submitted a complaint at Salakhua police station, naming several people, including Ghanshyam Yadav, Sachin, Bittu, and a sarpanch, among others. The family has alleged that they recognized some of the accused involved in the attack.


Police have registered a case based on the family’s complaint and started an investigation. Officials said that further action will be taken after examining evidence collected from the spot, post-mortem report, and statements of witnesses.

The police are also investigating the exact reason behind the murder, including the alleged land dispute angle.
